Our Story
How We Met
James and Kelli met in 1999 through mutual friends after James saw Kelli from afar. Sound like
some story book novel right? Well it's true. After seeing Kelli while his best friend visited her
roommate, he knew he had to meet her in person. Little did she know that after meeting him she
would fall head over heels in love with him!

Getting to Know Each Other
Kelli says: "It didn't take long for us to get to know each
other. We found out very early on that neither of us have a
problem speaking our minds. After the initial meeting and
laying down the ground rules of courtship, it was pretty
much smooth sailing from there. James and I had been
making plans to buy a nice home and live together about 3
weeks into our relationship. We just "clicked" initially, but
when the discussion of marriage came up, there was a
little hesitation on James' part. He told me that he knew it
was time for him to settle down, but when he got married it
was "forever" because he doesn't believe in divorce. After
discussing it further we both knew we were meant to be.
God had stepped in right on time for us!"
God never comes when you want him but he is sure to be

We were engaged...
Kelli remembers: "Again, to my surprise, our engagement was
announced after the dinner prayer on Thanksgiving in 2000."
